We're a little late posting the news, but, dammit, we want the world to know: artist Ryan McLennan has won the West Prize. Among his body of amazing work is the cover for Makeout Creek Issue 3, pictured above. Nothing too competitive: this year there were like 2,100 entries from 78 countries. So, a walk in the park for the young Mr. McLennan. Here's an article about the finalists.

He actually has a book of prints that just came out-- it's a crazy deal and has 20 archival prints of really recent work! you can order one at www.triplestamp.com. If you like his work but can't afford to drop $10k, this is definitely worth it! :)
