Holy Crap! It's Issue Two!

Hello, blog-readers! The second issue of Makeout Creek is back from the printer and will be arriving at Chop Suey Books and Cinders Gallery within the week. We're contacting similar neato stores around the country about carrying the magazine, and we'll let you know how that goes as it goes. (If you happen to be the owner of a neato store, hit us up at editors@makeoutcreek.com.)

In the meantime, there is a revised website to compliment the new issue. And, while our web design skills remain somewhat childish, we are very pleased to report that Issue Two is available for sale there. If you can't wait to check out this baby, then you know what to do.

Issue Two of Makeout Creek features the work of poet Liz Countryman, poet Anna Journey, poet John McAuliffe, writer and essayist Michael Mehen, and the prolific poet Keith Montesano, among many others. It also features an unbelievable cover by Adam Juresko of Richmond, VA.

If your curiosity is piqued, please note that we have remaining copies of Issue One for sale at a reduced price, also on the website. Issue One features work by poet/songwriter David Berman, novelist Tom De Haven, writer and essayist William Foster, artist R. Nicholas Kuszyk, poet and novelist Clint McCown, and artist Sto, among many others. Its cover (our logo) is by Makeout Creek's favorite fellow, Andrew Miller, of Philadelphia, PA.

We'll be using this blogspot site to post Makeout Creek news from now on. So keep us in mind over here even as you visit our main site at makeoutcreek.com. (Here's a tip: they're linked.) And, if you missed it, check out this nice article about editors Joshua Poteat and Allison Titus recently published by Richmond's Style Weekly. They're two members of the Secret Society of Six Editors, and not only are they smart and talented, they're also beautiful to behold.

They probably don't like that I just wrote that, but it's true.

Yrs,
Andrew B
of Makeout Creek
